One Post to Rule Them All

I'm really bad at coming up with post titles, seen here by my Lord of the Rings reference.

Although this blog is mostly about food, every once in a while you get posts about my hair, recycling and reducing waste (1, 2, 3, 4), how I feel about flossing my teethrandom things on my mind, and my latest Pinterest finds. No one promised that this blog would solely be food based, so sorry if those posts upsetted were upsetting to you (Just now I learned that upsetted is not a word because it is underlined in red. hmm).

Regardless, I like to keep things fresh and new, so don't be surprised if there are more "Random," posts that start showing up. I'm not cooking as much because we are living with my in-laws while my husband does his internship. My night to cook is on Thursdays, so unless I make something out of the norm for lunch or breakfast, then I only have one day to create something good enough to post. Tonight I'm making grilled pizza and salad(not grilled), so those have potential to be good "postable(also not a word)" recipes.

Since we're talking about random things, here are 6 random things you wanted to know:

1. Those who know me well know of my love for all things Potter. Pinterest has allowed me to take that love a step further and become close to an obsession. Even better, I found a bunch of Harry Potter/Mean Girls mash-ups that are so funny! But only if you've seen/appreciate both movies.

I just love this so much.

I'm also a big fan of this:

Although my husband does not share my fascination with the Wizarding World, he isn't opposed to it, and he went to see #7 part 1 last year with me the day it came out, and then to #7 part 2 this summer at midnight. And he even liked it! He's such a keeper! (and for more reasons than that :) )

When we decide to bring little Muggles into this world, I will be purchasing this.

And that's final.

2. Sushi is pretty much a balanced meal all by itself. You've got veggies(seaweed, cucumbers, carrots), grains(rice), meat(fish), and dairy(spicy mayo. that's stretching it...). Wasabi acts as a natural anti-inflammatory and reduces your risk for heart disease and stroke, plus it's spicy and (supposedly) spicy foods help you lose weight. Ginger also is an anti-inflammatory and boosts your immune system. So pretty much if you eat sushi rolls with some fruit on the side, you're the healthiest person ever. (Read my sushi post here).

3. Whole Foods is the best grocery store in the world. They have everything, and pretty much everything is organic, made with whole foods(ironic...) and incredibly delicious. Not only is Whole Foods amazing, but having grocery store options is amazing. In CA, there are different types of grocery stores on every corner. In Idaho, we had Walmart, Albertson's, and a locally owned grocery store. Yay. My other favorites are Trader Joe's and Cost Plus. My wallet's favorite is Walmart, which I have yet to go to here.

4. I want to own a house so bad so I can do things like this and this and this.

5. I am drooling over this. Look at that frosting!

6. I love this quote:

"The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache."
-Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Such a solid perspective!

I want to own a house, too! And I'm a huge Harry Potter nerd, even though the hubs isn't. He's fairly accomodating :). And you can say something upset you (that's past tense).

OH my gosh I love the HP too! I just watched 7 part 1 last night! I watched the last 6 over the last week and a half with my brothers. My husband refuses to watch them! He's so lame! Whenever we have a kid my dad says he will buy our kid a HP outfit before he buys them a baseball outfit or whatever (my husband played Baseball at BYU) so we'll see what he thinks then haha!!!

I need to rewatch the movies! I haven't seen any of them since I saw part 2! And a HP outfit would be way better than baseball! Haha! That's too funny!

I'm glad he's accommodating or else I would feel bad for you haha. And I will practice using that so that in the future I don't mess up my grammar again haha

I love Harry Potter too - that onesie is hilarious! & those pink appliances! oh my goodness. i wouldn't choose a pink and white kitchen for myself, but it does look cute. i love that bathroom! and i am not quite sure what that chocolate-frosting-&-kisses-covered sweet is, but it looks absolutely delicious.

I'm so glad we agree!
